The winning ticket was purchased at Midway Food Mart in Moss Point. There’s just one “what if” attached to this big win: the player did not add the $1 Power Play option, which carried a 5X multiplier Wednesday night and would have turned the $50,000 prize into $250,000.
That’s a $200,000 difference for a $1 add-on, proving the power of an extra dollar. With no jackpot winner in Wednesday night’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot climbs to an estimated $360 million for Saturday, Sept. 26 with an estimated cash value of $153.6 million.
