Lottery Account Representative

Build Retailer Relationships & Drive Sales Across Your Territory – $50,000/year
Location: Meridian, MS Region | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Field-Based

As a Lottery Account Representative at the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, you’ll be the primary connection between our retailers and the MLC. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you’ll manage an assigned territory, grow retail sales, and make sure our lottery products are visible, available, and moving. (Note: Employees of the Mississippi Lottery Corporation are not considered state employees.)

What You’ll Do:

• Manage an assigned territory to maximize lottery ticket sales and consistently meet MLC sales goals.
• Recruit potential new retailers and guide them through the application and onboarding process.
• Train retailers on lottery products, equipment operation, reporting, and inventory management.
• Promote and merchandise lottery products at retail locations, including signage placement and in-store displays.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between retailers and MLC departments.
• Work with retailers and Inside Sales Representatives to manage instant ticket inventory using FIFO practices.
• Coordinate and support retailer in-store promotions and special events, including setup and breakdown.
• Assist Customer Service with the resolution of retailer debts and respond to retailer and player inquiries.
• Maintain accurate field records using a company-provided mobile device.
• Keep the company vehicle maintained in accordance with MLC processes and procedures.

You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Have a high school diploma or GED (required); a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• Bring 2+ years of sales, merchandising, or promotional experience — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work well independently and can manage a territory with minimal supervision.
• Hold a valid Mississippi Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Are comfortable with mobile devices and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Reside within reasonable proximity to the Meridian area or surrounding territory — Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Neshoba, Newton, and Wayne counties.
• Are open to some overnight travel as needed.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Field-based role with daily travel to retailer locations using a company-provided vehicle.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions depending on season and area.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, and getting in and out of a vehicle.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Some overnight travel may be required.
