Step 1: Pick 5 numbers

For each play, choose five (5) numbers from 1 to 70 in the upper play area OR select the Quick Pick box in the lower right panel of the play area if you want the terminal to choose your numbers. You can also choose less than five numbers and have the terminal complete your play slip by selecting Quick Pick (QP).

Step 2: Pick your Megaball

Select one (1) Mega Ball number from 1 to 25 in the lower play area OR select the Quick Pick (QP) box in the lower right panel of the play area if you want the terminal to choose your numbers.

Step 3: Multiply your Winnings

For an additional $1 per play per draw, Megaplier® multiplies your Mega Millions prize (excluding jackpot) by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. Choose “Y” next to “Megaplier” on the play slip or ask the retailer for Megaplier.

Step 4: Multi-draw option

For your convenience, tickets can be purchased for up to twenty-six (26) consecutive drawings, including the current drawing, by choosing “Multi-Draw” ($2 per play per drawing, or if Megaplier is selected, $3 per play per drawing). Your ticket will be valid for the draw dates shown on the front of the ticket.

Before each Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday and Friday nights, the Megaplier is drawn. From a pool of 15 balls, five are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X. This mix results in the following odds for each of the Megaplier numbers and their associated prize values:

Annuity vs Cash

Annuity option: The Mega Millions annuity is paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments. Each payment is 5% bigger than the previous one. This helps protect winners’ lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation.

Cash option: A one-time, lump-sum payment that is equal to all the cash in the Mega Millions jackpot prize pool.

How to Claim

In accordance with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation prize payment policy, all instant game prizes must be claimed within 90 calendar days of the announced end of the game. Postmarks shall not constitute satisfaction of the 90-day requirement, and the risk of mailing tickets remains with the player.
In accordance with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation prize payment policy, all draw-style game prizes must be claimed within 180 calendar days after the draw date. Postmarks shall not constitute satisfaction of the 180-day requirement, and the risk of mailing tickets remains with the player.
Only original tickets will be accepted to claim any prize.
Prizes under $600 may be claimed at any Mississippi Lottery Corporation retailer. Prizes between $600 and $99,999 must be claimed at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters or by mail. A Mississippi Lottery Winner Claim form, proper identification (ID) and the original ticket must be provided for all claims of $600 or more. Proper forms of ID must verify name, signature, photo, age and Social Security number. If mailing, send required documentation to the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, P.O. Box 321462, Flowood, MS, 39232. The Mississippi Lottery is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
Prizes of $100,000 or more must be claimed at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters located at 1080 River Oaks Drive, Bldg. B-100, Flowood, MS, 39232.
For instant scratch-off games, the number of prizes is established at the time of printing and will change as prizes are won.
All tickets, transactions and players purchasing tickets are subject to the Lottery Act, Mississippi Lottery rules, and regulations and applicable laws.
