A Mississippi Match 5 Jackpot is Hit and Another $50K Powerball Win
FLOWOOD, MISS. – Monday night turned out to be a pretty memorable one for two Mississippi Lottery players, with winning tickets in Powerball and Mississippi Match 5 purchased in Moss Point and Toomsuba bringing home a combined $310,000.
In Moss Point, a ticket purchased at Wade Station matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball in the Oct. 5 Powerball drawing to win $50,000. The ticket did not include the $1 Power Play add-on, which would have doubled the prize to $100,000. The Powerball jackpot continues to climb, now reaching an estimated $485 million, with an estimated cash value of $199.8 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
Meanwhile, one Mississippi Match 5 player had an even bigger reason to celebrate.
A ticket purchased at Toomsuba Texaco in Toomsuba matched all five numbers in Monday night’s drawing to claim the game’s $260,000 jackpot. The jackpot for tonight resets to $50,000.
Two tickets. Two big wins. And $310,000 in prizes heading to Mississippi players.
